A joy rediscovered

Having not played keys for worship for the last nine months or so, I’ve been stretching my fingers again and I admit - I’m loving it! I have the privilege of playing alongside friends; I get to watch, face-on, the church lost in worship; and I find I'm able to worship myself as I play. What’s not to like? It’s a joy! It’s true - I am a bit rusty. There’s been a little bit of a time-cost. But it’s been worth it. Isn’t that just the way of it with God? We think we’re bringing Him something, but He gives back much more than we think we’ve given Him. ‘Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.’  So - keep giving, Church. Whatever it is you’re giving, keep giving it - and more. You’ll never out-give Him…and it’ll bring you joy!
