Out of the frying pan in to the ice
Fifteen of Beacon’s finest gathered in arctic conditions on Honor Oak Sports Ground on Saturday, 17 March to play City Hope Church in a football match. The day got off to a good start when Don arrived with a frying pan full of beans and, despite being on the wrong end of a 6-4 score line, the day continued in a rich and successful vein. Junior was awarded man of the match as his flying saves prevented a cricket score. Matt gifted Marc a goal so he could complete a hat-trick on his 18th birthday. Kehinde unveiled silky footwork and a cannon to get the other goal. The team are finally warm again and are looking forward to the next match already!
