Christians against poverty

Christians Against Poverty is an award winning national debt counselling charity that operates through a network of centres based in local churches. We launched our debt centre In January 2016, and in 2020 we re-named our centre the Beacon CAP Partnership to reflect the growing involvement from partner churches in our area.

We offer a unique ‘hands on’ approach that involves visiting clients in their homes and offering debt counselling, advice and practical help. This approach empowers people to help themselves out of poverty and to be released from the worry and fear that is often caused by overwhelming debt. If you are struggling with debt, or know someone who is, you can call 0800 328 0006, or click here to find out more.  Our service is completely free and available to all.

We also run a CAP Money Course for budgeting guidance and a CAP Job Club to empower people to find employment.

Here is an example of one of CAP’s ministries - The CAP Job Club and the impact it has had on those who have attended.

Would you like to attend one of the Cap ministries or to volunteer and help? To register your interest please complete the form below or contact Jontaylor@capuk.org.
