ABOUT
Planted out of Kings Church Catford in 2007, Beacon is a gospel-centred community committed to being a church family, a centre of grace, and a resource church.
We are part of the Evangelical Alliance, the Beacon CAP partnership, and we lead The Reconciled Church—a ministry exploring the need for us to be reconciled to each other and to God.
Beacon is led by a team of elders, leaders, and staff who serve the church family, equip people for discipleship, and help us live out our mission together.
Leadership Structure
At Beacon Church, we believe God has gifted the Church with leaders —from diverse backgrounds and life stages, both married and single—who serve according to the skills God has given them.
Our leadership is built around three key areas of oversight:
Spiritual Oversight
Our elders provide spiritual oversight, caring for the church family, guarding biblical teaching, and setting the spiritual direction of Beacon.
Governance Oversight
Our trustees are responsible for the legal, financial, and safeguarding aspects of the church’s charitable status. They play a vital role in ensuring Beacon is a trusted, safe, and financially healthy organisation.
Operational Oversight
Our wider leadership team—which includes staff and ministry leaders—carries responsibility for putting vision into practice, helping Beacon grow as a church family and blessing our wider community.
